Plan to widen road near K.R. Puram station

Bangalore: To decongest traffic on Whitefield Road under the Krishnarajpuram cable-stayed bridge, the BDA has sought cooperation of South Western Railway officials. The BDA plans to widen the road near K.R. Puram Railway Station by acquiring the required land.
BDA Commissioner H Siddaiah, who inspected the spot where South Western Railway is building its office in K.R. Puram, discussed the issue of land acquisition with senior Railway officials and traffic police.According to a release, the commissioner requested the Railway officials to shift their office to some other place so that widening of the road, leading to the Outer Ring Road and Whitefield, could be taken up.
