Body search: case against two teachers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have registered a case against two teachers in connection with the alleged ‘body search’ conducted on a Plus Two girl student of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Vettucaud, by lady teachers who were looking for a concealed mobile phone.

The case was registered under the Juvenile Justice Act at the Valiyathura police station on the basis of a statement given by the student that “two teachers had stripped her.” According to the police, the case was registered against the two teachers under the Act for mental harassment of the student who was below 18 years.
