BHUBANESWAR: Puri administration is yet to establish identity of two persons who died in stampede during car festival. Most of the devotees, who were admitted in the hospital after sustaining injuries in the stampede, have been discharged. According to Jagannath Temple administration, the family members of deceased would be entitled to get Rs. 2 lakh of insurance coverage for the first time. The temple administration had recently tied up with Oriental Insurance insuring devotees during 15 days coinciding car festival. The State government had earlier announced ex gratia of Rs.1 lakh for family members of the stampede victims. Unperturbed by the stampede incidents, hundreds of devotees continued to flow in to the temple city Puri to have darshan of Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Lord Subhadra on chariots. On Sunday evening, the deities were taken to Gundicha Temple, aunt’s abode, and they would stay there till July 12.
