Krishnagiri: Members of the Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam (TNVS) led by its president, M.R. Sivasamy took out a procession from Anna statue to the new bus stand at Londonpet here on Saturday, as a mark of respect to the farmers who laid down their lives in various agitations.
Procurement price for sugarcane
Later addressing a meeting Mr. Sivasamy urged the Union Government to extend loan waiver to all farmers instead of discriminating them as small, medium and large farmers. The meeting also urged the Government to fix the minimum procurement price of sugarcane at Rs.2,000 a tonne.
It should also introduce measures for bringing down prices of essential commodities by enhancing agriculture production.

He also wanted the Government to expedite the implementation of the Hogenakkal drinking water supply scheme to provide protected drinking water to people of Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts.
