Pregnant woman allegedly murdered

Muzaffarnagar: A pregnant woman was allegedly beaten to death by her in-laws for carrying a female child at Somta Rasolpur village in the district.

Police said the accused also cremated the body of deceased Gita without informing her parents.

In an FIR, victim’s brother Pratap Singh said that her in-laws had been harassing her and demanded more dowry.

The accused, including Gita’s husband Sudhir, are absconding.
