AITUC union plea on KSEB recast

Thiruvananthapuram: The pro-AITUC All India Federation of Electricity Employees has urged the State government to resist the Central government’s pressure to convert the Kerala State Electricity Board into a company as per the Electricity Act of 2003. The union said it would organise agitations against the power sector reforms. Its members would strike work on August 20, besides staging demonstrations in front of Parliament from August 4 to 6. — Special Correspondent
