BANGALORE: Himatsingka Seide Limited, a Bangalore-based silk export house, has bagged the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council’s Best Exporter award for the year 2005-2006. Addressing presspersons here on Saturday, chairman of the Indian Silk Export Promotion Council T.V. Maruthi said the awards have been instituted to motivate and provide impetus to the exporters to do better. Mr. Maruthi said gold overall trophy and a gold trophy for fabrics category would be presented to Himatsingka Seide Limited on Monday evening at the 21st Annual Export Award function. — Staff Reporter
