Two dead, 13 injured in accident

CHAMARAJANAGAR: The driver of a KSRTC bus, Basavaraju (32) and a passenger were killed on the spot and 13 persons were injured in a collision between the KSRTC bus and a Tamil Nadu State Transportation Bus at Madhuvinahalli near Kollegal on Sunday.

The identity of the passenger has not yet been ascertained.

Names of injured

The police gave the names of six injured persons as Mallamma, Shobha, Kantharaju, Ningamma, Bava and Pushpa. The police said that the KSRTC bus was going from Chikkallore to Kollegal and the Tamil Nadu State Transportation Bus was going to M.M. Hills from Kollegal.

The injured were admitted to Kollegal Government Hospital. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kollegal division, Dharanidevi Malagatti and Circle Inspector Nagarappa visited the spot. The Kollegal police have registered a case.
