Vigilance probe sought into bridge toll

KOCHI: . The Kerala State Private Bus Owners’ Federation has demanded a Vigilance probe into the ‘irregularities’ in the collection of toll over the Mattancherry BOT bridge. Federation president Khalid Mundapilly said that the probe must be conducted against a couple of former Ministers, senior Government officials and the head of a civic agency who played a major role in finalising the agreement with the company. The three Goshree bridges with a length of 1.5 kms together cost Rs. 37 crores, while the 450-metre-long Mattancherry bridge is said to have cost Rs. 30 crores, he said.
