Indian athletics team

NEW DELHI: An eight-member Indian team left here in the early hours of Sunday for Bydgoszcz, Poland, to participate in the World junior athletics championships to be held there from July 8 to 13.

The team: Junior men: Jithin Paul and Shejil Verghese (400m hurdles), L. Yogiraj (high jump) and Jasdeep Singh (shot put). Junior women: M.R. Poovamma (400m, 4x400m), S.R. Bindu (800m, 4x400m), Tintu Luka (800m, 4x400m) and Jauna Murmu (4x400m). Manager: Suresh Babu. Coach: P.T. Usha.
