MAHABUBNAGAR: For the immediate redressal of people’s grievances, a single-window system has been introduced, said District Collector V. Usharani while inaugurating the system here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the new system would help officials as well as petitioners to know the problems clearly and to redress them immediately, if possible. She said that the district being large and backward with lots of problems, people come from far away places to the district headquarters with their problems most of them being land and finance-related. In the previous system, they approached the district Collector directly for the redressal of their problems and the Collector in turn forwarded the same to the concerned departments. Checking the delayTo check the delay in processing grievances and to lower the hardship faced by people in approaching officials located in different places, the new system was introduced, explained the Collector. In the new system, every grievance in the first phase would be computerised and after being scrutinised, they will be redressed immediately if possible. She said that some grievances would be solved within 15 days by intimating the petitioner in writing. She said the grievances day would be held every Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. when people can submit their grievances.
