Bettiah: A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan was attacked and killed by a tiger in Valmiki Tiger Reserve in Bihar’s West Champaran district on Monday. Pramod Singh, a resident of Itawa in Uttar Pradesh, was killed by a man-eater barely 100 metres of Kishmi border outpost on Monday morning when he had gone to relieve himself, police and forest department sources said. The tiger, who was crouching in a bush, pounced on Singh and killed him. On hearing his cries, others present at the bop rushed to his rescue forcing the tiger to retreat into the jungle but by then the jawan was dead.
