Preparatory meet on I-Day held

BHUBANESWAR: The State government on Monday said emphasis would be given on foolproof security arrangement during the Independence Day celebration here on August 15.

The State-level parade, which would be organised at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, was likely to witness huge crowd, Home Secretary Tarun Kanti Mishra told the preparatory meeting attended by top police officials. He also directed other line departments to ensure arrangement for sanitation and first-aid. Among others Commissioner of Police Bijay Kumar Sharma and Deputy Commissioner of Police Himanshu Lal were present.
