BANGALORE: In a concerted effort to promote trade and commerce and strengthen the cultural relationship between the government of Karnataka and the government of the United States of America, the Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) is planning to establish a Kannada Bhavan in the U.S. shortly. Chairman of the AKKA Board of Trustees Amarnath Gowda and president of AKKA Ramesh Gowda told presspersons here on Monday that the proposed Kannada Bhavan would come up in Washington D.C. The organisation would not seek the State government’s assistance for constructing the bhavan. But it might seek the State Government’s help to develop infrastructure, they clarified.
