PATNA: Five people, including three of a family, were massacred on Sunday night in the Phulwarisharif block of Patna district. Ram Sujan Singh alias Bhola Singh, his wife S. Devi and their grandson Suryakant were found dead in their home at Mohammadpur. Their son-in-law and grandson are battling for life in hospital. In the same village, the locals sighted two bodies along a canal. The deceased were identified as Bindeshwar Yadav and Chandrama Yadav, both milk vendors, who hail from neighbouring villages. The police are clueless to the murders committed through sharp weapons. The murder of the three of the family was similar to the crime committed in the same block just five days ago when a State government officer S.M. Alam and his wife were done to death. The police are yet to crack the officer’s killing case. Enraged locals vented their ire on police jeeps by overturning them. They also tried to set the vehicles afire. They charged the police with inaction and said they were living in constant fear. RJD MP Ram Kripal Yadav alleged that there was no law and order. PTI reports: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked Director-General of Police S.C. Jha to form a special team to probe the incidents and submit a report at the earliest.
