Rupee sheds 15 paise

MUMBAI: The rupee lost 15 paise against the dollar and ended at 43.30/31 on Monday following the dollar’s strengthening against a basket of major currencies in overseas markets.

Traders said there was negligible supply of dollar, making the demand stronger.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee moved widely in range of 43.07 and 43.31 after resuming on a promising note at 43.11/13 a dollar from last week close of 43.15/16 a dollar. — PTI
