Bangalore: You have a problem learning and teaching Hindi because you can’t decide what gender words like “kursi” and “kitab” belong to? “Sutradhar,” a resource centre for educational materials, is holding a workshop to help Hindi teachers help their students deal with tricky areas learning the language, including awkward pronunciations and incorrect use of gender. Interactive gamesThe workshop is based on a kit, “Hindi ki Duniya, Pehle Kadam”, put together by Chandrika Mathur, to address these problems. It will help in developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in HIndi in an integrated mannerthrough interactive games and activities. Dr. Mathur’s kit is designed to teach both Hindi to non-Hindi speaking students. The workshop is on August 8 and 9 at Vishranti Nilaya, Infantry Road. July 25 is the last date for registration.
