St. Aloysius College to introduce two certificate courses this month

Classes for both courses to be conducted two days a week, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.


MANGALORE: St. Aloysius College, autonomous college under Mangalore University, will introduce two certificate courses of eight-weeks duration each, shortly, according to a press release here. The course, “Finance for non-finance people” will commence from July 14. The classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The curriculum includes understanding accounting statements, concept of time value of money, cost of capital, working capital management, capital expenditure decision making, budgeting and costing techniques.

Another course, “Self-development” will start from July 15.

The classes will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the same hours as the first course.

Topics for this course include self-awareness, goal-setting, motivation, stress management, communication, public speaking, presentation skills, writing of resumes, participating in group discussions, facing interviews, leadership and team building and time management.

The college hopes that these courses will be useful for people of all walks of life.
