Mumbai: India’s top-scorer on Sunday, Virender Sehwag, who had suffered a minor muscle strain of his right groin while warming up for the final, has been prescribed a rehabilitation programme, according to Nitin Patel, the Indian team’s physiotherapist.
Patel has informed the BCCI that he expects Sehwag to return to cricketing activities in ten days, a week before India and Sri Lanka play the first Test at Colombo from July 23. The Indian team for the three-Test Idea Cup series will be selected at the Cricket Centre, BCCI here on Tuesday.
The National selection committee will also pick 30 probables for the ICC Champions Trophy to be played in Pakistan. — Special Correspondent
