Cop fatally hit

New Delhi: A Delhi police constable lost his life when a speeding vehicle hit him while he was crossing a road in Outer Delhi, police said on Monday.

The victim Vinod (40) was working as a driver with one of the senior police officials.

The eyewitnesses said a speeding Tata 407 hit him while he was crossing the road in Mukundpur Chowk on Sunday night.

He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

A case has been registered and efforts were on to nab the absconding driver.
