VISAKHAPATNAM: The two-day plenum of the CPI(M)’s East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts commenced here on Tuesday. Senior leader and district secretary of Srikakulam Chowdary Tejeswara Rao unfurled the party flag to mark its inauguration. State secretary B.V. Raghavulu, MP M. Babu Rao, party’s central committee member S. Punyavathi, MLC M.V.S. Sarma, MLA of Naguru K. Lakshmana Murthy, district secretaries Ch. Narasinga Rao (Visakhapatnam), M. Krishna Murthy (Vizianagaram) and Dadala Subba Rao (East Godavari), State committee members B. Tulasi Rao, B. Venkat and Rama Rao, and Vizianagaram district committee member M. Uma Maheswari and others were present. Visakhapatnam district secretariat member V.S. Padmanabha Raju presided over the inaugural session. A large number of party leaders from the four districts are attending. Mr. Narasinga Rao reviewed the party’s activities and programmes along with international, national and State issues in his report submitted at the start of the plenum. He said the party could improve its political image while dealing the nuclear agreement issue and other issues in the national level and in the State scenario it stood by its stand of an integrated State.
