Nod for engineering college for women

Kakinada: The Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) obtained permission for setting up an engineering college exclusively for women on its campus at Corangi. Admissions will be made through EAMCET counselling scheduled to commence on July 16. The KIET women’s college will initially offer ECE, EEE, CSE and IT courses and introduce new courses a few years later, said its Chairman P.V. Viswam.

The initial intake of the college is 300 and it will be increased in due course. Hostel facility is provided to relieve the girls. Details can be secured from the website www.women.kietap.com or phone numbers 0884-2303400 / 9949352345. KIET Director John and placement officer Ramakrishna spoke.
