Hartal opposed

KOCHI: The Joint Action Council of the Chambers of Commerce and Trade Organisations of Kerala has decided that there was no need for cooperating with a hartal call given for July 10 by Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi. A statement from the council issued by E.S. Jose, chairman, appealed to all trade and business institutions to open their establishments on July 10. It claimed that 26 trade bodies were represented in the meeting that was held at the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry hall on Tuesday. — Staff Reporter
