Dasmunsi’s condition stable

KOLKATA: The condition of Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, who was admitted to a private hospital here on Sunday, “is stable and satisfactory,” doctors said on Tuesday. His clinical status was under control.

Mr. Dasmunsi, who is also the president of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee, was rushed to the hospital after he complained of discomfort in the chest on Sunday. It was diagnosed as an acute coronary syndrome. He underwent angioplasty to clear two blockages.

Mr. Dasmunsi would be under observation for a few more days, the doctors said.
