Hari, Saravanakumar hit centuries

Coimbatore: R. Hari Prasad’s 109 enabled Ramakrishna Cricket Trust score a 64-run win over R.K.S. Kalvi Nilayam ICC in the Canara Bank-CDCA first division league, for the Pricol Trophy, here recently.

At the SNR Sons ground, S.P. Saravanakumar scored 102 in Ramakrishna Mills Sports Club’s 83-run win over Coimbatore Raiders Cricket Club.

The scores:

Red Diamonds CC 82 in 28 overs (C. Ashok four for 27) lost to Arumugam CC 83 for three in 12.5 overs.

Jolly Rovers CC 102 in 34.5 overs bt Cosmo Village SA 89 in 21.4 overs (Veeramani four for 25, Arun Prasad four for 10).

Ramakrishna Mills SC 290 for eight in 50 overs (S.P. Saravanakumar 102, K. Hari Prasad 75) bt Coimbatore Raiders CC 207 in 43 overs (Venkatesh 42, Sarath Chandran four for 28).

Ramakrishna CT 236 for nine in 50 overs (R. Hari Prasad 109, Subramaniyam four for 47, Raja four for 30) bt R.K.S. Kalvi Nilayam ICC 172 in 47.5 overs (Vinodh Kumar four for 43).

R.K.S. Cricket Academy 201 in 50 overs (Kirubashankar 61) bt Rainbow CC 99 in 22.4 overs (Balakrishnan four for 21).

Inter-school hockey

The Coimbatore District Hockey Association will conduct the CDHA inter-school hockey tournament, for the Kids Fashion and Jayachitra Garments trophies, at the Bharathiar varsity grounds from July 17 to 19.

Sivakumar triumphs

P. Sivakumar of PSG College of Arts and Science and R. Meenakshi of YTTA emerged the men’s and women’s singles champions respectively in the district table tennis tournament at the CDTTA Hall recently.

Easy for SPB ‘A’

At Namakkal, SPB ‘A’ (Pallipalayam) scored a six-wicket win over Gurusai Cricket Club (Namakkal) in the Canara Bank-DCAN first division league at the SPB Colony ground recently.

The scores: Ranjit CC ‘B’ (Tiruchengodu) 98 in 33.2 overs (P. Suresh four for 19) lost to Kanchana Memorial CC (Pallipalayam) 99 for six in 24.3 overs.

Gurusai CC (Namakkal) 147 in 35.1 overs (V. Suresh Kumar four for 22) lost to SPB ‘A’ 148 for four in 27.2 overs (R. Srinivasan 72).
