dated July 9, 1958: Sidney Ransom dead

Mr. Sidney Ransom, who was associated with the work of Dr. Annie Besant for Theosophy and for India since 1904, died in London on July 4. Mr. Ransom, and his wife, Mrs. Josephine Ransom, had visited India several times and he used these visits to study the philosophy of India and the life of its people and to work for the Theosophical Society. Mr. Ransom was 77 years of age.
