Men may come, men may go…

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: “Men may come and men may go, but we (sincere party leaders and workers) go on forever.” This is how Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president M. Mallikarjun Kharge responded to a query on two of his party MLAs joining the Bharatiya Janata Party and some more MLAs reportedly ready to follow suit. Mr. Kharge paraphrased the famous lines from the noted Victorian poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson at a press conference here when he was repeatedly asked about the steps taken by the party to keep its flock together.

He said the issue would come up for discussion at the Congress Legislature Party meeting to be held on July 15.
