MADURAI: Two school boys from Sankarankovil, who planned to run away from home fearing punishment at the hands of their teacher, were rescued by Railway Protection Force personnel at the Madurai railway station on Monday night. C. Paul Kumar and T. Jayakani, both 13 years of age, studying 8th standard in a school at Rajapalayam, were wandering on the platform. On enquiry, it was found that the hostellers, who had gone home for the week-end, failed to finish their home work and were scared to return to school. They boarded a bus for Madurai and planned to leave for Chennai, the RPF Inspector, K.S. Kannan, said. The boys were handed over to their parents.
