National Youth Awards: applications invited

Hyderabad: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is inviting applications from eligible youth and voluntary youth organisations who render social service, in connection with the National Youth Awards 2007-08, which will be awarded on January 12.

Individuals submitting their applications should be between 13 to 35 years of age and should have rendered their services in their relevant fields. Voluntary youth organisations should be registered under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 for the last three years.

Individual awardees will be given a medal, scroll and Rs. 20,000 where as voluntary organisations will get a trophy, scroll and cash prize of Rs. 10,000.

Interested individuals and voluntary youth organisations can obtain applications from the office of District Youth Welfare Officer, Collectorate Compound, Nampally between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The last date for submission of applications is July 15.
