Thuvar, urad through ration shops

TIRUCHI: Stocks of thuvar and urad dhals, palm oil and wheat flour have been moved to the ration stocks in the district, Collector T.Soundiah has said.

About 105 tonnes of thuvar dhal (Rs.32 a kg), 42 tonnes of urad dhal (Rs.36 a kg), 59,245 litres of palm oil (Rs.40 a litre) and 10 tonnes of wheat flour (Rs.11 a kg) were available in the district. The dhals would be made available in quarter, half and one kg sachets, Mr.Soundiah said in a press release.
