Quiet birthday for YSR in Maldives
HYDERABAD: It was a quiet birthday for Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in the island nation of Maldives on Tuesday.
Dr. Reddy, who turned 59, celebrated his birthday with his family members.
Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office said said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari, AICC general secretaries -- M. Veerappa Moily and Digvijay Singh, State Ministers and others telephoned Dr. Reddy and greeted him.
Meanwhile, distribution of fruits to patients, clothes to inmates of old age home and blood donation camps marked the celebrations by Congress workers.
