YSR lambasted for criticising Left’s stand on N-deal Difference in US’ N-deals with China and Japan and India HYDERABAD: As the threat of desertions from different political outfits into the party being set up by film star Chiranjeevi, the CPI has opined that the ongoing “political polarisation” would be completed by August end and new forces would emerge. CPI State secretary K. Narayana said the situation was fluid but it would be cleared soon and there would be a major realignment of forces. “People are vexed with the monopolistic behaviour of the existing parties and they want a change,” he said at a press conference here on Tuesday. The CPI was happy with the ongoing developments and it would intensify the efforts for strengthening an alternative to the traditional parties in the days to come. He refused to say whether the CPI would align with Mr. Chiranjeevi’s party on the ground that the party should be formed first and its policies made public. Mr. Narayana criticised Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for claiming that the Left parties ,which did not oppose the deal signed by China with the US, were opposed to India inking the pact. Faulting the Chief Minister for equating the two deals, he asked Dr. Reddy to prove to people that the content of the deals by the two countries was same. ``I am prepared to resign from the party’s national executive if I am proved wrong. The Chief Minister should clarify what action he will take if his claims are incorrect,” he said. Mr. Narayana said China and Japan had signed the deals with the US with an assurance of international arbitration in case of disputes.
