One killed in firing by naxals in Mahabubnagar

Mahabubnagar: One person was killed and another suffered serious injuries after two persons suspected to be Maoists opened fire at them at Marikal village in the district on Tuesday.

According to information reaching the district headquarters, the deceased has been identified as Azeem (35).

Another person Niranjan suffered serious injuries in the incident.

He was shifted to a hospital at the district headquarters where his condition is said to be serious.

The incident occurred as they were attending a function in the village.
