Toyako (Japan): France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy on Tuesday said emerging economies, including China and India, would play bigger role at the next G-8 meeting. Mr. Sarkozy said the leaders of China India, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico will join G-8 leaders for a day-long meet at next year’s summit in Italy. This year, leaders of emerging countries are spending only half a day with G-8 leaders. The French President said leaders “exchanged a great deal on the subject.” — AP
