Rajesh stars with six-wicket haul

CHENNAI: K. Rajesh’s six for 33 enabled Guru Nanak Combines beat Leo by seven wickets in a first division contest of the Kancheepuram DCA cricket league held here recently.

The scores: I Division: Guru Nanak Combines 137 for six in 23 overs (S. Prabhu 40) bt S. Rly Institute (Tbm) 91 for six in 23 overs.

Krishnaraj 201 for six in 30 overs (M. Vignesh 83) bt Adambakkam 128 for four in 30 overs.

Krishnaraj 147 for eight in 25 overs (N.S. Chaturvedi 46) lost to Guru Nanak Combines 148 for four in 21.1 overs (Tarun 50 not out).

Leo 126 in 26.2 overs (K. Rajesh six for 33) lost to Guru Nanak Combines 127 for three in 20 overs (S. Vignesh 40, S. Uday Praveen 55 not out).

Kattankalathur 171 for five in 29 overs (Jayesh 50) drew with Adambakkam 103 for three in 21.2 overs (K. Sukumar 54 not out). Bad light stopped play.

II Division: Royal Gems 142 for three in 20 overs (M. Vinodkumar 40, S. Sundararaman 40 not out) bt Palavanthangal 105 for nine in 20 overs (E.S. Pandian four for 32).

Bharath 119 for four in 20 overs (Neil Williams 50 not out) lost to Blue Bird 121 for four in 17.2 overs (Senthil 41 not out).

Jain Combines 114 for eight in 20 overs lost to Areva T&D 115 for four in 16.1 overs (D. Vijaykumar 61, J. Deepak four for 31).

Engine Valves 156 for eight in 20 overs (Ramesh four for 34) bt Vijay 127 for six in 20 overs (Gopinath 51).

Air India 136 for five in 20 overs (D. Srimen 42) lost to Fine Star 139 for five in 19.2 overs (P. Ravindra Babu 52).
