Five arrested for truck robbery
NEW DELHI: Five young men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a driver of his truck at Alipur here on July 1.
The police claim to have recovered the vehicle from them.
Acting on a tip-off that some criminal elements who had recently robbed a truck would come to Samaipur Badli on Monday, the police laid a trap and arrested five of them.
They were identified as Sanjay, Inderjit, Vikram, Narender and Shambhu.
During interrogation, the accused purportedly disclosed that on July 1 they overpowered the truck driver and his
helper and dumped them on the way before
driving away with the vehicle.
