NAGAPATTINAM: People of Vedaranyam on Monday highlighted their grievance in a novel way. Angered over frequent power cuts in Vedaranyam and neighbouring areas for several hours every day, shopkeepers and others thronged the taluk office and staged a demonstration condemning the district administration and the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for being indifferent to the power cut issue as salt and other industries were affected very much. Later, they tied their grievance petition to a neem tree and dispersed.
