Parasailing for NCC cadets held

VISAKHAPATNAM: NCC cadets at the Combined Annual Training Camp-IV, being conducted at Naval Maritime Academy near Meghadriepta, on Wednesday participated in parasailing exercises at INS Dega.

The event began at 5 a.m. and lasted for around two hours. Boy and girl cadets got an opportunity to fly for the first time in their lives with the support of a parachute that was lifted by a sports utility vehicle, according to Camp Commandant Y. Prakash Rao.

Krishnam Raju, who controlled the acceleration and rate of descent, led the trained staff in handling the launches.

The cadets also visited the station health organisation INHS Kalyani.
