IIHFW offers course on health education

HYDERABAD: The Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare is offering a one-of-its-kind Bachelor in Health Education programme during the current academic year.

Affiliated to Osmania University, the one-year post graduate programme is aimed at developing a cadre of professional health educators and health communicators to effectively plan, implement, monitor and evaluate health education interventions in the wider communities and healthcare centres.

Styled on the lines of the B.Ed programme, the course will have subjects like basic health sciences, epidemiology, social and behavioural sciences and health education. Any graduate from a university recognised by the UGC is eligible to apply for the course with a programme free of Rs. 25,000. The last date for submission of applications is July 25 and further details can be obtained by contacting Course Coordinator Prof. S. Ram Murthy (Mobile No: 97054-92329), according to a press release.
