Students urged to cultivate interest in reading

HYDERABAD: The Department of Library and Information Centre and Ann-LIS Club of St. Ann’s College for Women, Mehdipatnam, organised a three-day book exhibition at St. Joseph’s Auditorium between July 7 and 9.

Sr. Inyasamma, the principal of St. Ann’s Degree College, in her inaugural speech, said that books were indispensable even in this digital world. Publishing houses such as Higginbotham’s, S. Chand, Himalaya, Neelkamal, Visalandhra and others have displayed their books here. Sr. Amrutha, Correspondent of the college, asked the students to cultivate interest in book reading. Superior of the convent Sr. Arogya Mary made the first purchase.

The college principal asked the students and faculty to recommend the books for library.
