City to host national seminar on IPR

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE) in association with the Patent Office, Chennai, is organising a two-day national seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) here from July 18. According to Dr. E.P Yesodharan, executive vice president, KSCSTE, the objective of the seminar is to create awareness on the various aspects of IPR like Patent Cooperation Treaty, patenting system, patent drafting and filing, copyrights, geographical indications and protection of traditional knowledge. The technical sessions will be led by experts from the Chennai Patent Office and from Kerala.
The registration form and details are available on the website www.kscste.kerala.gov.in or may be collected from the office.
No registration fee will be charged.
