Off to a green start

CHENNAI: The NSS unit of D.G. Vaishnav College organised plantation of saplings on the campus on Wednesday, to mark the beginning of classes for first year undergraduate students for this academic year.

In association with Lion’s Club, the unit organised free eye check up for the students at Purushothamdas Nethra Kendra Eye Care Centre. Senior students addressed the freshers, highlighting the importance of being part of the NSS, NCC wings, Rotaract and Enviro clubs of the college.

The campus wore a festive look with ‘welcome’ banners and posters.
