Weavers take out rally

TIRUCHENGODE: Powerloom unit owners and weavers took out a rally here on Wednesday urging the Central and State governments to check the rising yarn prices.

They claimed that the spiralling prices of yarn had severely affected the functioning of power loom units in various parts of the district.

They also wanted the government to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the industrial units. They staged a demonstration in support of their demands.
