JAIPUR: The State-level function in Rajasthan on Independence Day this year will be organised at Bikaner. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her Cabinet colleagues will attend the function. The State Government has started the practice of organising official functions on Independence Day and Republic Day at the divisional headquarters in a bid to connect the people in all parts of the State with the festivities. Bikaner Collector Shikhar Agrawal said in a statement that Ms. Raje would also hold a district-level “Jan Sunwai” (public hearing) on the occasion. The district administration has established public hearing cells at all sub-divisional and tehsil offices to receive public grievances for being submitted to the Chief Minister.
