Pharmacology conference at JIPMER

PUDUCHERRY: The Department of Pharmacology of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is organising a conference on “Emerging Trends in Pharmacology” from July 11 to 13.

According to a press release, the annual conference of the Southern Regional Indian Pharmacological Society would include two pre-conference workshops on “Advanced Experimental Techniques in Pharmacology” and “Research Methodology and Dissertation Writing.”

It would include a symposium on thrust areas such as drug resistance to medicine used in the treatment of common diseases including malaria, tuberculosis, AIDS and ways to overcome it, the release said.

Over 350 pharmacologists and research scholars from Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh would attend the conference.
