Police continue crackdown on hooch traders

BANGALORE: Continuing the action against those selling and manufacturing illicit liquor, the Central Crime Branch police arrested three persons allegedly involved in selling the liquor in parts of Bangalore and Tumkur districts.
The police have recovered Rs. 10 lakh worth bottles of illicit liquor, which were being sent to Bangalore.
The police have arrested Ravi (35), who runs a bar in Tumkur; Subramani (30), who works as a supervisor of a bar in Tumkur; and Prasanna Kumar (28), a resident of Tumkur.
They were allegedly preparing illicit liquor in Kalasapur forest in Tumkur district.
On a tip-off, the CCB sleuths caught the accused while they were moving a consignment in a lorry and a car.
