Detained under Goondas Act

CHENNAI: Six persons accused in various criminal offences were detained under the Goondas Act on Thursday.

As per the orders of the Commissioner of Police, R. Sekar, the accused M. Karthi (23), V. Balu (20), M. Ravichandran (22) of Anna Nagar, K. Kothandan (48) of Manali, A. Ayyappan (22) of Villivakkam and S. Kannan (34) of Kanyakumari were detained under the Act and lodged in the Puzhal Central Prison. They were involved in different cases of murder, robbery and theft cases, police added.
