Revision of SSR demanded

The APSPDCL Electrical Contractors Welfare Association Vijayawada Circle has said 310 contractors, working in Kadapa, Chittoor, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur and Krishna districts, and their 4,500 workers stopped their works on Thursday. They were demanding immediate revision of Standard Scheduled Rates (SSR), which was not revised in last two years. Instead, the Government reduced the SSR by 40 per cent, they said adding that the Government should issue new SSR.
