THIRUVANANTHPAPURAM: Miscreants damaged the official vehicle of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic (South), that was parked in the traffic police station at Pattom in the wee hours of Thursday. The windshield of the official vehicle, a blue coloured Tata Sumo, was damaged in the incident that took place around 4.30 a.m. Miscreants who reportedly arrived in a motorcycle hurled stones at the vehicle that was parked in front of the station building and fled the scene. Those who are running wayside eatries near the Pattom junction had alerted the police personnel in the traffic police station about the incident. B. Varghese had recently taken over as the AC (Traffic) South Sub-division. The police have registered a case and have commenced investigation.
