He interacts with the winners of a contest The actor says that he is too young for politics VIJAYAWADA: Fans of mega star Chiranjeevi threw a volley of questions on the political career of the latter’s nephew and up-and-coming actor Allu Arjun during an interaction with the winners of an SMS-based competition conducted by Pepsico for its brand 7Up. The participants of the contest had to SMS an answer to the simple question “what does Allu Arjun do when he is burra fried?”. The winners were selected through a random computerised process. Arjun, however, tactfully dodged the questions, saying he was here as the brand ambassador of the soft drink and would not talk about anything else. Interacting with the audience, Arjun said he was what he was successful because of Chiranjeevi and requested them to ask questions only on the soft drink. The young star remained awkwardly silent when the audience chanted the names of ‘Megastar’ or his actor-son ‘Ramcharan’. Later answering the question put to him by the media persons, Arjun made it clear that he was not interested in entering politics at such a young age. He vowed to support Chiranjeevi in all his endeavours. “Chiranjeevi is a good man and he will do only good things and our family will support him,” he said. Asked if he would campaign for the new party, Arjun evaded a direct answer, saying he was only interested in cinema for now. About contesting as a candidate of the new party, he said he was too young for it.
